Disaster Relief

Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Haiti and also Chile, as well as all of those going to help after this recent devastating earthquake.  If you would like to donate towards their aid, please make your check out to St. Stephens Presbyterian Church and note it "Disaster Relief".

Palm Sunday -- March 28.    Come celebrate Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem and begin to look towards the coming events of Holy Week.  Enjoy “waving the palms” and special music by our choir.  Bring a friend! Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and worship is at 10:30 a. m.

Maundy Thursday Lamb Dinner and Communion Service – April 1.   Join us for our annual Maundy Thursday dinner and worship service on Thursday, April 1 in the Center High School multi-purpose room.  Dinner is at 6:00 p.m., with worship following at about 7:00 p.m.  Come and hear the story of Jesus Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples.  Travel with Him as he is arrested and crucified.  Come to receive a glimpse into the sacrifice Christ made for you and of the great love that our God holds for every person. 

This is a planned potluck of roast lamb, three-bean salad, fresh fruit, and raw vegetables. There is a sign-up chart at worship where you can designate how many of your family and friends plan to attend, and what food you would like to bring, You may also sign-up for the dinner by calling the Church office at (916) 332-2071.

Easter Worship Service – April 4.  Come celebrate the joy and wonder of Christ’s resurrection on Sunday, April 4 with St. Stephens Presbyterian Church!  There will be special music by our Choir and an uplifting message and service for the whole family.  Let us celebrate Christ’s new life together!  Bring your family and friends and worship with us at 10:30 a.m. in the Center High School multi-purpose room, located on Watt Ave, just north of Elverta Road.  An Easter egg hunt for children up through sixth grade will follow the worship service.  For more information call the Church office at (916) 332-3071.

Easter egg hunt welcomes all kids thru 6th grade

The St. Stephens Youth Connection will be once again hosting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt following worship on Easter Sunday, April 4, at the Center High School multipurpose room.  All children up through 6th grade are invited to join in the hunt. 

If you would like to help by providing eggs – either goodie-filled plastic or good old’ hard-boiled – please bring them to worship on Easter Sunday.  We will be collecting them near the entrance.  If you have any questions, please contact Lyn or Kurt Bagelmann at (916) 334-1546, or any youth group member.
