Vacation Bible School 2012

June may seem a ways off yet, but it’s approaching fast.  So is this summer’s Vacation Bible School.   The planning stage is just getting under way.  I’ve just about got our theme nailed down.  VBS will take place June 18th through the 22nd - so check your calendars.  We will need teachers, assistant teachers, snack helpers, a photographer, registration people, and a number of other volunteers to make this event successful for St. Stephens and fun for the kids.  If you would like to take part in this year’s Vacation Bible School, or just want a little more information, please talk with Lyn Bagelmann.  I can be contacted by phone at 747-9622 or by e-mail at lbagelmann@sbcglobal.net.  And watch the bulletin for updates!

Christmas Around the World Bazaar
We hold an annual bazaar featuring hand made items from artists in under developed nations. We hold this event in order to allow these artists to receive fair pay for their efforts.  It is always an enjoyable, successful event.

Antelope Community Activities
Members and friends of St. Stephens enjoy participating in the annual community garage sale held in August and the Picnic in the Park held annually in September at Lone Oak Park. These activities are great ways to mingle with others from our neighborhood in a relaxed, outdoor setting.

Watt Avenue Cleanup
We participate in the annual neighborhood clean-up held along Watt Avenue in North Highlands.

North Highlands Food Ministry

Due to the increasing difficult economic times, there's a higher number of people in need--new and returning clients.

Canned good donations--corn, green beans, tuna and pork and beans are especially needed now. Thanks for adding an extra can or two to donate when you shop. You may bring them to Sunday worship with you.

We support this food closet with regular donations of food throughout the year and by the volunteer time of several of our members.

Mission Projects
St. Stephens Youth Group mission projects are supported by the whole congregation.
