St. Stephens invites you to make your prayers visible through the use of our prayer net.  The tradition of tying strips of cloth to a net to represent prayers lifted to God comes to us from many traditions throughout the world.  The basket on the table holds strips of cloth or ribbon that are intended for your use.  Select a strip from the basket, and as you lift your prayer to God, tie one end to the prayer net as a symbol of your prayer.  The colors of cloth or ribbon used reflect the traditional liturgical colors and seasons fo teh church year.  Each of these colors wil allow you to vary the spirit and intent of your prayer.  we invite you to pray with the prayer net as often as you come and go from St. Stephens.  In time, the collective prayers will show their beauty in an array of color and texture and mood.
