Family and Neighbors (FAN)

St. Stephens Presbyterian Church would like to invite the community to share in our weekday education and fellowship program, Family And Neighbors or FAN; First, we will gather for a meal, no need to hurry and make dinner! Cost for the meal is $2 per adult, $1 per child, maximum of $5 per family. Then we will break into small study groups. There will be a children's program for preschool through 6th grade and will be a fun time filled with music, arts and crafts, Bible stories and activities. Jr and Sr high kids can take part in the St. Stephens youth group meetings on Sunday afternoons. The Adult Class members will be encouraged to share their thoughts and beliefs in a safe and friendly small group atmosphere while wrestling with questions that inform the way we live out our faith in everyday life.

Please call our church office at 332-2071 for more information and location or email fan@ststephenspres.org

FAN Christmas Pageant

Fall is here, the weather is cooler, leaves are changing color, and Christmas is coming!! That means it is time to get ready for the St. Stephens Christmas Pageant!! This year we will present Joy in the Manger – a celebration filled with singing, Christmas symbols through time and around the world, and scripture describing the scene at the stable as we form a live nativity on stage. We need kids of all ages as well as adults for speaking parts, singing parts, and jobs “behind the scenes”. The pageant will be presented during worship on one Sunday in the Advent season (date to be announced). We will be following the usual format for FAN with a meal at 6:00 followed by pageant related activities for everyone until 8:00. We will meet on Mondays beginning October 20th at the church office. Cost for the meal is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for children under 10, maximum of $5.00 per family. Plan to take part and make this a fun and meaningful tradition. Please call our church office at 332-2071 for more information and location or email fan@ststephenspres.org

Companions in Christ
Companions in Christ is a small group that uses various available materials for study. We will be starting a new session on March 3rd. These studies usually involve daily readings and exercises that are discussed at the weekly meetings. HA HA Group

Health and Humor Association

We meet monthly. Come join us every first Monday from

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and bring your Brown Bag lunch to have with the coffee, tea and dessert we provide for you.

We gather at the church office to provide a safe, caring, supportive environment for spiritual uplifting for anyone who might need such support--male and female, young and old, caretakers, grandparents, "live alones," retirees and everybody in between--all are welcome!

This is not a business meeting nor a gossip gathering.

There are no officers and no dues!

We're here to share, support, explore and learn.

"In youth, we learn. In age, we understand."

Call us for more info: Eleanor 916.331.6851, Edith 916.723.9968.

Cell Phones for Soldiers

St. Stephens is now a collection site for old cell phones that are sent to Cell Phones for Soldiers.

These phones, chargers, and accessories are sent to a company called ReCellular. About half are reconditioned and resold to wholesale companies in over 40 countries around the world. Phones and components that cannot be refurbished are dismantled and recycled to reclaim materials, including: gold, silver and platinum from circuit boards; copper wiring from phone chargers; nickel, iron, cadmium and lead from battery packs; plastic from phone cases and accessories. This money is then given to AT&T who in turn send free pre-paid phone cards to our soldiers in Iraq so they can call their families.

There is a box in the office and phones can be put through the mail slot if the office is not open. This is a way to support our soldiers and our community. Please call our church office at 332-2071 for more information and location or email office@ststephenspres.org
